The business of beauty has run in Alessandra's family for generations. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro her aunt owned a successful beauty salon, exposing Alessandra to some of Brazil's most infamous beauty trade secrets.
Interested in blending the family business with her entrepreneurial itch, Alessandra received a business degree from York University in Toronto. She continued her post secondary education at Seneca College, receiving a high honours diploma in esthetics.
For the past five years Alessandra has serviced numerous clients in the GTA, introducing them to sought-after Brazilian treatments combined with her holistic approach to beauty. She has worked in reputable spas and salons across the city including the Old Mill Inn & Spa, Chi Spa in Rosedale, and currently operates out of the Moksha Yoga Studio Downtown in Toronto. Most recently Alessandra had the pleasure of providing her services on-set to Hollywood stars Vivica A. Fox and Isabella Rossilini.

Our spa’s signature treatment. In Brazil’s native Portuguese, “carioca” is another name for the city of Rio de Janeiro, coined by the Amerindian language of the Tupi people. Purifying and toning, this treatment is complimented by Shankara products, which are specially formulated to nurture, oxygenate, hydrate and protect the skin. This is a personalized treatment.
The experience: A personal selection of aromatherapy oils; skin is cleansed, and scrubbed, followed by a relaxing hot towel steam, extractions, massage of décolleté, and shoulders and neck and scalp. Ends with mask, foot scrub and foot or hand massage, 75 minutes.
