Come to class on an empty stomach, and avoid coffee before class, drink more water instead. Try not to eat any heavy meals 2 - 3 hours before practicing, and arrive well hydrated!
Bring a yoga mat, beach-sized towel and drinking water for your practice; another towel if you would like to shower after class at the studio. Wear minimal clothing, whatever you feel comfortable with. (Keeping in mind that the room is heated and you will sweat!) Our change rooms have showers and complimentary environmentally friendly soap.
We have filtered water available so you can bring your own refillable bottle,or buy a bottle at the studio.
Our rental mats are disinfected after each use; if you prefer you can also purchase a new one.

Just a few things to help everyone have the best experience at the studio.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class time, latecomers not permitted. Once the teacher has entered the studio no one else will be permitted to enter.
- Leave belongings in the change room. We want to keep the studio as uncluttered as possible. The studio will be locked while classes are running if someone is not at the front desk. If you feel more comfortable wallets and jewelry can come into the studio but please leave large bags in the change room.
- Please turn cell phones/pagers off and please keep them off even in the change rooms
- Refrain from wearing any fragrances when coming to class.
- Once inside the yoga room please observe complete silence. Enjoy the quietness of the room before class, give yourself a chance to let go of the outside world before you begin your practice.
- During the class feel free to drink water whenever you need it, but please try to drink water in between the postures. The reason for this request is that it is difficult for people to concentrate when they can see movement out of the corner of their eye, especially in balancing postures.
- Try to stay in the room for the whole class, if you ever feel overwhelmed for any reason then lie down in savasana until you feel better. If you do have to leave try to leave in between postures, again to help others keep their focus.
- Be good to yourself; respect your body for what it can do right now. Practicing yoga is not about how high you can kick or how far you can bend, it's about connecting the body and the mind and going beyond your limitations one step at a time.
All new students are required to fill out a standard waiver of liability form. To make it easier for everyone, please print and fill out this form and bring it in to the front desk at your first sign it. The file is in PDF format and requires Adobe Acrobat to view and print. Bringing this form with you will save you time when coming to class for the first time. Anyone under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Click here to open and print this form. If this doesn't work for you, there will be waiver forms available at the front desk.
